Biography

Francesco Paolo (Francesco) di Miceli, son of Francesco di Miceli and Giovanna Saccaro, is born and baptized on 2 April 1773 in Corleone. His godparents are Andrea Cataudo and his wife, Vincenza.^[1]

He is 24 when he marries Francesca Terranova, daughter of the late Domenico Terranova and Rosalia Gallo, on 7 January 1798. His father has passed and his mother ("Anna") is still living.^[2]

Francesco and Francesca have at least one child, Biagio (c. 1802).

Biagio is born around 1802, based on his age in the 1807 stato delle anime.

In 1807, Francesco di Miceli, 31 (b. 1776), wife Francesca, 27 (b. 1780), and one or two children live in the third vanella, or alley, from the Canzoneri church, traveling away from Santa la Croce di Elena (the church of Sant'Elena). The name Bernardo/a is started, given an age, nine, and crossed out before being completed. No other record of this child has yet been found. The younger child, Biagio, is five (b. 1802). He survives to marry. Francesco's home is between the families of his brothers, Simone and Innocenzo. Their widowed mother lives with Innocenzo, the oldest of the three.^[3]

Biagio is a farmer (agricola). He marries twice, first to Orsola Sinatra.

Biagio marries his second wife, Salvatrice Oliveri, by 1841.

Biagio dies, reportedly at age 50 (b. 1805) on 22 January 1856. He is survived by his second wife.^[4]
